A sundial is a clock that uses the position of the Sun to indicate the time. Typically a rod casts a shadow upon a plane or surface. On this surface are found markings that indicate the time by the position of the shadow. There are several types of sundials. Each type serves the same purpose: to tell time by the position of the Sun. But the methods used to extract the data from each sundial are different.The sundial is responsible for telling us what time of the day it is. Basically, the sun casts a shadow on a triangular pointer called a gnomon. This is pronounced like "no-men." The sundial looks like a clock with numbers all the way around it. The sun's shadow reveals the hour of the day. Each sundial must be made specifically for the region it is telling the time for as the sun shines differently around the globe.

Cycle 2 Week 5-Blogging in Schools

In other schools they use their blogs to go to educational websites.Also,to help students in lower grades how to prepare for test.For example "5th Grade: In preparation for the upcoming CST, we've taken the BAM time machine back to 4th grade, reviewing the principles of magnetism and electricity."This is what one school is doing for help.

Cycle-2 Week 1 Blog

I'm currently playing, "Matrix Bullet Time Fighting." This game is about stick figures fighting. The one in black is your fighter and the one in white is your enemy. Your are only fighting on a roof top on a sunny day. In this game your able to slow down the motions, pull out a gun and shoot, and you use youir Kung Fu skills to bet your enemy. The limited amount of bullets you get is 300. Also, the mount of enemies you can fight in each round is 5. The goal of this game is to defeat your enemy. You can learn how to improve your gaming skills.There are enlimited rounds, meannig the rounds never end. Finally, the website I got this game off of is "www.stickpage.com."

I did okay on all my blogs.To improve them I could have talked more about the energys and there transfors.Meaning kinetic to thermal energy.

Week5_Prompt#2

Part of the table decreased because the cold water made part of the warm table cool.This happened because at the bottom of the glass cup the kinetic energy dropped some of the the tempureture on the table because gravity pulled it down.This is why part of the table under the glass decrease.

Week4 Work

The DESIGN SQUAD's challenge was to creat mini race cars out of a tricycle and a weagon for a drag race.They used drills for the motors to get their rides going.85% they worked together.But the other 15% they argued against each others ideas to find out what was the better idea for their mini cars.Other than that they showed good teamwork and tried their best for the drag race.
What I would have done diffrently to solve the problem was first plan all our ideas and test each one to see which one is the better choice and fix up and add on to the idea.I could have also done test all of our ideas then scheetch it and look at it in a different and elaborate the idea to make it work.I learnd their is many ways you can test and add to,on an experiment to find the right solutiont for your experiment.

The surface becomes cooler because some of that vaper never escaped.When it evaperated.

Heating a full pot of soup on the stove cause the soup to overflow because the thermal energy is making it have more volume and raising up the temperature.It's making the soup softer.And less dense so the soup can be ready.Yum.
